Check in time for class is 5:45pm.  DO NOT BE LATE.  Class starts promptly at 6:00pm.  Late arrivals will not be admitted to class and will forfeit registration fee.  No Exceptions.

 

 

The Program is designed to...

 

A.  Present information on the effects of alcohol on behavior and on the lives of those who use alcohol;

B.  Help participants identify their own drinking patterns and problems;

C.  Educate participants about the laws relating to possession, consumption and purchase of alcohol beverages; and the laws relating to minors driving under the influence of alcohol; and

D.  Assist participants in developing a plan to reduce the probability of involvement in future alcohol-related illegal behavior or determent ail activity.

 

YOU MUST REGISTER IN PERSON

 

Registration is on a first come first-served basis.  Classes fill up quickly the sooner you come, the more likely you will get into the class of your choice.  There is no telephone registration.

 

Registration takes approximately 15 minutes.  Be sure to have your:

 

      Driver's License

    

      Social Security Card

 

      Judge's Name and

 

      Payment in full

 

   Persons under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian at registration and have written permission from the legal guardian

  

Approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services  and  authorized by TEX. ALCO. BEV. CODE ANN 106.115

For those under the age of 21 who are cited for consumption/possession.

 

The Alcohol Education Program for Minors (MIP) is a 6-hour program (2 separate 3 hour classes).  Classes must be taken in correct sequence (Session 1, Session 2).  An exit interview is required to receive a Certificate of Completion.
